The Director of the World Cowboy Gunspinning Hall of Fame and Museum is Mike Chew of Divernon, Illinois. Since 1997, Chew has been affiliated with or performed at many shows and festivals around the country, including the SASS End of Trail celebration in Norco, California, and the Western Heritage Museum Festival in Omaha, Nebraska. Chew was a judge at the 2001 Wild Bill Hickok Days World Gunspinning Championship in Deadwood, South Dakota, as well as Director of that event in 2002. In 2003, he was Director of the Wyatt Earp Gunspinning Championships in Taylorville, Illinois; co-organizer of the National Cowboy Gunspinning Championships at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield, Illinois; and Director of the World Cowboy Gunspinning Championships in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Chew was a 4th place finisher at the 2003 National Gunspinning Championships. Chew was also co-organizer of the 2004 World Cowboy Gunspinning Championship held at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield, IL, on August 21, 2004.

 

 

The Deputy Director of the Hall of Fame and Museum is Randy Williams, Pawnee, Illinois, who is President and Owner of the Truckers Homestead Restaurant and Complex, site of the Hall of Fame and Museum. He is also owner of Homestead Catering, which has catered for notables such as Billy Ray Cyrus, Mark Collie, and Governors of Illinois, using an authentic Chuck Wagon. Williams was a judge for the 2002 Wild Bill Hickok Days World Gunspinning Championships in Deadwood, South Dakota; Director of the 2003 National Cowboy Gunspinning Championships at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield, Illinois; and Promotions Coordinator for the 2003 Spirit of the West World Cowboy Gunspinning Championships in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Williams enjoys gunspinning and frequently competes in gunspinning competitions. His son, 11-year-old Mitch “The Kid” Williams, is the 2003 World Cowboy Gunspinning Technical Champion. Williams was Director and co-organizer of the 2004 World Cowboy Gunspinning Championships held at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield, IL, on August 21, 2004.
